Sorry for the long delay in new episodes. Been busy recording audiobooks which takes a bit of my time, but provides some dinero to stay on the mission field and not be in overdraft, which I have to admit, I really kinda like it.
Good news for those of you who like audiobooks, and on top of that, have been waiting for mine to be on Audible; Nine Lies People Believe About Speaking in Tongues is completely recorded (finally!), and about three-quarters of the editing process has been completed. I have attempted to record this book THREE times in the last year, and then I just got sick of dealing with it and left it for like 6 months so I can come back at it with fresh ears.
It’s my hope to have it on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes by the end of the month. When you send your work to Audiobook Creation Exchange (ACX) as a narrator, it takes 10-14 business days for them to check it and decide if it’s up to standard and then they distribute it to those places. I plan on finishing the editing and do a few re-records (mostly there was a dog barking outside during some segments I recorded during the daytime) then hopefully there will have been no more unforeseen problems and I’ll be submitting it maybe by this weekend.
I am looking at making it available on Whispersync, so that means if you already have the Kindle version, you could buy the audiobook at a heavily discounted rate if you wanted to switch back and forth between the two versions, or just listen to it if you’ve already read it sometime in the last few years. My favorite part to record was definitely the appendix and sharing how to lead someone in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. I kinda deviated from the script quite a bit, but I think it was for the better.
That’s why I’ve been practically pegged to my laptop and headphones these last few weeks (summer break here) but still haven’t produced any new episodes of the podcast or kept this blog updated that often.
Now you know.
In the meantime, you can get my recently narrated book by Eric Gilmour called Enjoying the Gospel for dirt cheap, while I also work on another one of his.
I’m currently recording and editing a longer one called One Bloody Road: The Glorious Way of Discipleship by John Garrett that I’ll also post more about in March when it’s ready. By the way, John’s 250 page book is only $3.99 on the Kindle, so I highly encourage getting it. It might wind up being in your best interest later if you already have it and decide you want the cheap audiobook on Whispersync.
I’m super excited to be involved in this aspect of content creation of some really anointed books by some neat men of God doing great things for the Kingdom in the earth today.
Which leads to today’s episode. This week it’s a short episode as we dive into a free sample from Eric Gilmour book, Enjoying The Gospel.
Description of the Book
The gospel is the offering of God’s presence to men. It is the invitation into a life of experiencing God. The inspiration of our lives must be our past experiences of him; our satisfaction must be our present experience of him; our hunger is for our future experiences of him. I would rather touch him than attempt to define him. I would rather move him than seek to simply understand him. I would rather know him than merely perform his works. Are you with me? Let us live our lives enjoying this glorious gospel!
